Andrew's Journey

I began learning the piano as a complete beginner in my early teens. I was fortunate enough to have had a teacher at my secondary school who inspired me to always do more. His positive and encouraging approach was what spurred me on to want to undertake bigger challenges. Within three years, I had taken my grade 8 in piano, and gained entry to the Purcell School of Music - one of the most prestigious music schools in the country. 

Over many years I was fascinated by the importance of a good teacher-student working relationship and how that dynamic directly affects the whole process. I love and am passionate about performing, and have performed recitals, concertos and chamber music. Stemming from the combination of my love for music, performing, and my interest in teaching, I have developed another passion, which is changing lives through the teaching of music. I have a mission which is to make positive change in the lives of future generations of musicians in the way that my teachers did for me.
